This Privacy Policy explains how Notee AI ("Notee", "we", "us", or "our") collects, accesses, uses, stores, processes, shares, protects, and deletes information when you use the Notee AI mobile application and related services.
Your privacy is important to us. Notee AI is designed so that users remain in control of their notes, files, integrations, permissions, and AI interactions.
By using Notee AI, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy. Where consent is required, we will request it before accessing or processing the relevant information.
1. INFORMATION WE MAY PROCESS
Depending on the features you choose to use, Notee AI may process the following categories of information.
Account Information
If you choose Google Sign-In, we may receive information made available through Google authentication, such as:
- Name
- Email address
- Google account identifier
- Profile image, where available
- Authentication information required to maintain your session
Google Sign-In is optional where Guest Mode is available.
Notes and User Content
Information you voluntarily create or add may include:
- Notes
- Checklists
- Folders
- Tags/categories
- Reminder information
- Formatting preferences
- Pinned notes
- Note themes/backgrounds
- Other content entered by you
Notes may initially be stored locally on your device. Cloud processing or synchronization occurs only where the applicable cloud feature is enabled or required for a feature you explicitly use.
Attachments
If you choose to attach content, Notee AI may access or process files you specifically select or create, including:
- Images
- PDFs
- Scanned documents
- Scanned business cards
- Camera-generated content
We do not access these sources merely because the app is installed. Access is initiated through features you choose to use and is subject to applicable device permissions.
Google Drive Data
If you explicitly connect Google Drive, Notee AI may access the permissions necessary to:
- Create Notee backup files
- Upload supported attachments
- Locate Notee-generated backups
- Restore your selected backup
- Synchronize supported backup data
Notee AI will request Google authorization before accessing Google Drive functionality.
We do not sell Google Drive data or use Google Drive data for advertising.
You may revoke Notee AI's Google permissions through your Google Account settings.
Google Calendar Data
If you choose to connect or use Google Calendar synchronization, Notee AI may create, update, access where necessary, and delete calendar events associated with reminders created through Notee AI.
Calendar access is used only to provide calendar/reminder functionality requested by you.
Notee AI will not independently create calendar events unrelated to actions or settings initiated by you.
AI Content
When you voluntarily use an AI feature, the content necessary to perform your request may be transmitted to the configured AI processing service.
Examples include:
- Text submitted to Ask Notee AI
- Notes selected for summarization
- Notes selected for rewriting
- Text submitted for task extraction
- Conversation context necessary to answer your request
AI processing occurs when you initiate an AI action.
Do not submit highly sensitive information to AI features unless you are comfortable with that information being processed by the applicable AI service.
AI Usage Information
We may maintain information necessary to manage AI entitlements, including:
- AI usage count
- Remaining usage/credits
- Subscription tier
- Usage timestamps
- Account identifier
- Transaction or entitlement status
This information helps us enforce plan limits and prevent misuse.
Notification and Reminder Information
If you enable reminders, Notee AI may process:
- Reminder date
- Reminder time
- Repeat settings
- Associated note identifier
- Notification configuration
Device permission will be requested where required by the operating system.
App Security Information
If you enable PIN or Pattern Lock, the security information required to operate the feature may be stored locally or otherwise securely handled as implemented by the application.
We do not require users to enable App Lock.
2. DEVICE PERMISSIONS
Notee AI may request device permissions only when they are required for a feature you choose to use.
Depending on your device and operating system, these may include:
- Notifications
- Camera
- Photos/media/files or system file picker access
- Calendar-related authorization where applicable
- Other permissions strictly necessary for an enabled feature
Where technically supported, permissions are requested contextually when you attempt to use the relevant feature.
Denying an optional permission will prevent or limit the related feature but should not prevent unrelated features from functioning.
Permissions can generally be revoked through your device settings.
3. HOW WE USE INFORMATION
We use information only for legitimate purposes connected with operating Notee AI, including:
- Providing note-taking functionality
- Saving and organizing notes
- Synchronizing supported information

AI processing occurs only after the user initiates an AI feature.
AI-generated responses can contain mistakes. Users should independently verify important information and should not rely on Notee AI as a substitute for professional medical, legal, financial, or other qualified advice.
5. GOOGLE API DATA & LIMITED USE
Notee AI's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including applicable Limited Use requirements.
Google API data is used only to provide or improve user-facing features for which access was granted.
We do not sell Google API user data.
We do not use Google Workspace API data for advertising, retargeting, interest-based advertising, creditworthiness determination, or building general-purpose advertising profiles.
Access is limited to permissions reasonably necessary for the functionality requested by the user.
6. GOOGLE DRIVE BACKUPS
Google Drive backup is an optional feature.
When enabled, Notee AI may create backup files within the authorized Google Drive environment.
The backup may contain notes, checklists, settings, metadata and supported attachments necessary to restore the user's Notee information.
Users remain responsible for their Google Account and Google Drive security.
Disconnecting Google authorization may prevent future backups or restores.
7. FIREBASE AND CLOUD SERVICES
Notee AI may use Google Firebase services for functions such as:
- Authentication
- Firestore/cloud data
- AI usage management
- Account information
- Subscription/entitlement information
- Cloud Functions

Where advertising technologies collect or process identifiers or other data requiring consent under applicable law, appropriate disclosure and consent mechanisms will be presented.
Private note contents, attachments, Google Drive data, Google Calendar data, and Google Workspace API data will not be provided to advertising networks for targeted advertising.
Paid plans may remove advertising where specified in the applicable plan.
10. PAYMENTS AND SUBSCRIPTIONS
Notee AI may offer optional subscriptions, lifetime purchases, AI usage purchases, or other digital purchases.
Purchases made through Google Play are processed using Google Play's payment infrastructure where required.
We generally do not directly receive complete payment card details. We may receive transaction identifiers, purchase status, subscription status, product information, and other information necessary to verify and manage purchases.

13. DATA RETENTION
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, to provide requested services, meet legal requirements, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, or enforce agreements.
Locally stored information may remain on the user's device until deleted by the user, cleared through device/app settings, or removed when the application is uninstalled, subject to the operating system's behavior.
Cloud information may remain until deleted according to account controls, retention requirements, backup cycles, or a valid deletion request.
14. ACCOUNT AND DATA DELETION
Users may request deletion of their Notee AI account and associated server-side personal data.
Where available, account deletion can be initiated through the application. We may also provide a web-based deletion request method as required by applicable platform rules.
Upon a valid deletion request, we will delete or anonymize applicable account-associated data unless retention is legally required or permitted for legitimate purposes such as fraud prevention, transaction records, dispute resolution, or legal compliance.
Deleting a Notee account may not automatically delete files independently stored in a user's Google Drive or events remaining in Google Calendar. Users may separately manage such information through their Google Account where necessary.
15. DATA SECURITY
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, destruction, or loss.
